White Walkers
Overview
The Others (White Walkers) have been heavily expanded in Realm of Thrones 6.0.
- A full-scale invasion system now exists.
- The Night King spawns on Day 1 and becomes progressively more aggressive.
- Custom scenes, MCM options, and gameplay mechanics support both lore-based invasions and playable undead campaigns.
Night King Invasion
- The Night King spawns immediately on Day 1.
- Initially targets small parties, then villages, and eventually castles north of the Wall.
- On Day 500, a scripted event causes the undead to invade Hardhome, storm the Wall, and march south into Westeros.
- To kill the Night King before he invades Hardhome & attacks the wall, make sure you enable the setting in MCM.
Playable Undead
As a White Walker (race):
- Requires no food or salaries for troops.
- Recruit units by killing enemies — they rise as undead. (Rate adjustable via MCM)
- Cannot join the Night King — he is an independent faction.
- Can recruit lords to your own undead faction by executing them while they’re your prisoners. They will revive and join you **only if you are a White Walker.**
- You cannot create a kingdom.
As a Wight (race):
- You can join the Night King’s army.
- Wights cannot form kingdoms, lead clans, or do anything outside of enlisting under the Night King.
Party Size & Scaling
- The Others have **no party size cap** — their armies grow endlessly.
- This scaling can be tuned in the MCM under **“Party Size Limit Growth.”**
MCM Options for White Walkers
All of these features can be configured through the Mod Configuration Menu:
- Invasion: Toggle the White Walkers invading beyond the Wall.
- Raiding: Enable or disable their ability to raid villages.
- Sieging: Allow or prevent them from besieging castles and towns.
- AI Shackles: Add balancing constraints (e.g. troop surplus needed to siege, cooldowns, etc.).
- Necromancy Multiplier: Adjust how many fallen enemies are revived into the undead army.
- Party Size Limit Growth: Control how fast undead party sizes scale over time.
- Night King Can Die From Game Start: Decide if the Night King can be killed immediately or only after capturing all northern settlements.
Special Mechanics
- Undead armies don’t consume food or require gold for salaries.
- Enemies killed in battle become recruits, fueling exponential growth.
- The Night King faction is non-interactable and cannot be joined directly.
Tips
- Disable village raiding if you want to reduce their growth.
- If you're playing as the undead, capture and execute nobles to grow your faction.
Known Bugs / Issues
- If all characters appear as White Walkers, you likely have a mod conflict. Ensure mods like “Hot Butter” or “Detailed Character Creation” are loaded **above** Realm of Thrones.
